"Oftentimes the parasitoids remain in the dark sectors, but even so, when traveling on the fringes near them, it isn't entirely safe. After all, they have infested several smuggler ships with advanced cloaking devices, making it not entirely uncommon to find another ship suddenly docking onto yours or infested escape pods crashing through its walls. When kept at a bay the parasitoids are as dangerous as any other ship, but when they breach inside your ship, that is when the true mettle of the crew is tested, as most will find themselves succumb to the parasitoids, their ship and crew silently slipping into the dark sector."
