Cataclysm

"As the last god died a cataclysmic explosion engulfed the entire city. It was like a lightning bolt which did not dissipate but instead struck the earth beneath it indefinitely, never ceasing. Many people were conflicted on how to feel about it, some were glad that now the gods were gone and they could truly finally be free. Others felt apprehended, as if they had lost the meaning to live now that their creators were gone."
